"Da Capo" will be release for sure on 5th March 2003 in Japan - the album will get a new cover (see the picture) and a bonus track on the new album! The label is Toshiba EMI. The first single will be probably "Beautiful Morning"!


 

Without any promotion the second single in Germany, The Juvenile, becomes more and more a chart-hit! On the 6th week in the german sale-charts the song climbed to his new peak-position: #78!!! So the song beated Beatufiful Morning, which was on #83 on the 6th week!

This success - nevertheless the song got no promotion and no video - is a result of the fantastic airplay and the chart-positions on the german radiostations, which were made by the listeners! So the song climbed to his highest positions on Jump - #4, on radio PSR - #8 and on NRJ - #12! Furthermore was the #1 for 2 weeks on the SWR3-charts, the biggest radio-station of Germany (currently #4 in the charts)!

Polydor moves to PolydorIsland Group

Universal Music Germany will  be rebuilt and will get a new structure  Polydor and the Island Mercury Label Group will merge to PolydorIsland Group. For the international acts and stars like Ace of Base Lars Grewe (before Island Mercury) will be responsible! Tom Bohne, the new Managing Director said to this merger:

"With the new PolydorIsland Group as the biggest Pop Company in Germany we will care for our artists with a never seen power of colander and will set more accents with our regional and international repertoire."

"All I wanna say to you ..." is that Unspeakable will be the next single in Germany! This information is confirmed by Polydor! Therefore the way is free for europewide release of the song! And this includes a video, which will be online this or next week. The release-date for Germany is not set till now...

In a phonecall with the german label Polydor I got some news! There will be released a 3rd single from the current album "Da Capo" in Germany. Which song the new single will be is not known till yet.

The current single "The Juvenile" climbes on the official german sales-charts to the best position #80 in the 3rd week. Furthermore the single is on #43 on the airplay-charts of Germany! And this wihtout video or promotion!

Universal Spain announced to the official spanish fanclub, that the lead-single in Spain will be "Unspeakable". The release-date will be the 20th January! The album and the DVD will follow on 10th February. The tracklist from Unspeakable is the same like the swedish one!
 

Polydor will release a Single-CD for the second single! Normally the single-CD contains 2 tracks - till now the second track is not known. The release is set for the 23.12. This information was announced through Polydor on www.musicbiz.de !

In Germany the second single, "The Juvenile", is charting on various charts - with success. On the german webcharts The Juvenile is on #4 (www.d-wc.de) and on SWR3 the song climbed to #14(SWR3)! Saint Ken Remixes mixed the new single of Ace of Base, The Juvenile. Two remixes he put online on his website! The Juvenile

The release-date for the new single in Germany is not fixed fur sure - on varous CD-shops the Maxi-CD is listed for 2n or 9th or 16th December ... The correct date only Polydor can give us! On the music-magazin www.musicbiz.de the release is still scheduledweist for the 49th week - the dates came from Polydor...

But a delay to the 16th December of the second single would make sense, because the video will be made between 11th and 14th December ... and in Germany a new single needs the promotion of the video to get great success!
 

That Unspeakable will be released as the second single in the scandinavian states is known. Now the acer could get more information to it, thanx to the CD-shop www.ginza.se The release-date will be the 2nd December - there will be a single-CD (2 tracks) and a maxi-CD (5 Tracks). The official cover is on the left side .The tracklist is not known till know!

UNESCO-gala

On a special to the organizer of the UNECO-gala from 9th November in Neuss, Ute Ohoven, the german channel ARD will report about the UNESCO-gala from 9th November too! The special "höchstpersönlich" will be on 20th December 4 p.m. german time!
 

In a phonecall Polydor gave me some new information to the upcoming single "The Juvenile". The title of the unreleased track, which wil be included on the german Maxi-CD is "Don`t Stop"! The Maxi-Cd will contain 3 tracks in sum! The cover of the Maxi-CD of "The Juvenile" you will find under "aktuelle Single".

Today I had a phonecall with the german label Polydor. Polydor told me some interesting things to the second single in Germany. The release-date is still planned for 2nd December! The tracklist of the Maxi-Cd will probably contain the song "What`s The Name Of The Game" and an unreleased track, a b-side! Furthermore a new cover for the Maxi-CD is planned.

Today the manager of Ace of Base, Lasse Karlsson, was on the official chat and he told some acers, that the management and the band want to release a remix-CD in the summer next year. But till now it is "only" an idea. The labels, Polydor/Universal and Edel has to decide about this project. Hopefully we will get a positive answer of them ... The videos to the next singles, The juvenile in Germany and Unspeakable in Scandinavia will be filmed this month!
