Activities of Ulf

Ulf was seen tgether with the famous rockstar Mick Jagger in Gothenborg ... they celebrated on a boat after the concert of the Roslling Stones and he visited the concert too ...

Furthermore Ulf will give an interview to the tv-channel FST - here the official announcement:

"FST (Finland's Swedish Television) music interview series Popsmart returns this summer with a very interesting interview. On August 4th, Popsmart's Micaela Metso will have a chat with Per Gessle. The 30 minutes long show will be on TV2 at 22.10 EET. It will be also shown at the same time on FST's digital channel and re-broadcasted on the digital channel on August 6th at 19.30 EET. Other visitors on the series this season will be Lars Ulrich of Metallica in the first episode, followed by Per, Carola Häggkvist, Eva Dahlgren, Ulf Ekberg of Ace of Base and Ola Salo of The Ark."

new single in Scandinavia

The main-label Edel-Mega-Records announced, that there will be released a new single after the summer 2003 in Scandinavia!

Though Edel-Mega-Records did not say anything, if the single will be from the current album or "Da Capo". It is possible too, that it is a single-release from a forthcoming remix-album. Recently the german producer-team Voodoo & Serano did a new remix of "All That She Wants". Furthermore the producer of Snap! shall work on a banghra-mix of "All That She Wants". This fact was announced from the producer of Snap! on an interview at VIVA Interaktiv.

TV-/Radio-Dates

Up to date Ace of Base don`t have to promote a current single, but TV- and radio-dates still exists. The TV-channel RTL2 will start a special show called "Die 90er - The Pop-Years" on 14th July. Here are the dates (all german time):

- 1. Folge: 14th July - 9:15h
- 2. Folge: 21st July - 9:15h (with/about Ace of Base!)
- 3. Folge: 28th July - 9:15 h
- 4. Folge: 04th July - 9:15 h

Furthermore the final date for the radio-interview with Jenny on "Radio City Göteborg" is fixed! It will be on 24th July from 8 to 10 am and will be repeated from 8 to 10 pm.

Collector`s Box

Polydor believes in the music of Ace of Base will release a Collector`s box within 2 CDs and one DVD on 30th June in Germany! (CD1: "Flowers"/ CD2: "Singles Of The 90s" and DVD: "Da Capo"). Furthermore the Collector`s box will include some rare pictures of the band, bandinfos in a high-quality booklet, some postcards ... The format of the box has the same size like a DVD and the box has a high quality!

Infos to Hannah K

Hannah K is the new project of Jonas - and is presenting new music of him. In Sweden the first single summertime was released last week ... and now Hannah gets her first appearances - on 1st Huly she will perform on an handball-tournament, the "Partille Cup" to more than 20.000 people with Summertime. News von Jonas

Boomer from Spain was able to get in contact with Jonas through the phone for more than 15 minutes - read his reoprt from the call:

- He is still working with the AoB-project.

- There will probably be concerts later this year. Concerts with Jenny, Ulf and maybe Jonas himself! Not Linn, he has told me.

- It is not decided whether there will be another single. I have told him that in Spain Universal wants to released another single if there is a single in Scandinavia. He has asked me which I think should be released as a single. I've said Da Capo.

- According to Jonas, he has had to change the songs too much on this album. He has been working on Da Capo for 3 years non-stop but the album was completely perfect for him much before. However, he had to do what Edel-Mega said. He wanted a much dirtier sound.

- All the band members are doing very well.

- Jenny wll probably be doing more solo gigs as she's been doing in these past years.

No Concert

After some weeks of waitong for a statement of the management to the probably concert now we have an information from the management - and it is a negative one! There will be no concert wwith Ace of Base on 5th July in Randers/Denmark! But furthermore Jenny and Ulf want to do some concerts for the fans, but these will not be before November this year! The danish online-shoper billnet.dk is reporting about a concert of Ace of Base together with Simple Minds on 05th July 2003 in Randers/Denmark! Unfortunately this fact is not confrimed by official ones like the management or the labels till now! Here the information to the concert:

Unspeakable

On the german airplay-charts Unspeakable is climbing and climbing - now the single is on #33 (41)! And now you can vote more and more for the song. The biggest radio-station in Saxony (federal district of Germany) Radio PSR presented Unspeakable as a new song for their charts! Furthermore SWR3 will presented Unspeakable as new song for the SWR3-Charts - you have to vote for the song through a phonecall on 0137/1072211, during the song will be played. SWR3 is the biggest radio-station in Germany - so the most important station! The show will be on air from 7 to 10 pm. on 27th April. So VOTE! Uhr ausgestrahlt!

Chat with Polydor

The chat with polydor on 16th april on acerdom.de was a success. Jochen Schuster, productmanager of Ace of Base on Polydor, gave the answers to the questions of the fans! IOn the german airplay-charts the new single climbed from #51 to #47 and is #3 of all unreleased songs! Before the releasing the tv-promotiom of Polydor started last friday with a promo-clip, which contains scenes from the video and the webadress of the official homepage! THE SINGLE IS OUT NOW!

The new single in Germany gets more and more attention! Now the single is on #122 of the german airplay-charts and will be presented as a new hit on the SWR3-Charts on 16th March! The show will be on air from 7 to 10 p.m. german time! You can vote for the song through a call to 01371072211 during the song is played on the radiostation!

Furthermore there is not set a release-date for Germany. The single will be released in April! Polydor is planning performances and specials for the promotion!

Acermeeting im März

On march this year the next german Acer-Meeting of Germany will be in Altenburg in Thüringen. The meeting will be from 14th to 16th March in 2003. There you can exchange CDs, meet with other fans, talk about the band or you will see rare pics and videos from the band! On the last meeting the fans got a gift from the label Polydor!
