11.07.2006	Jonas will be dad again, tour plans According to the Swedish newspaper Expressen Jonas and his norwegian wife Birthe will be parents of a little daughter again in September. Furthermore Jonas revealed that Ace of Base is planning a tour for next year, without Malin. Even tough Jonas writes one new song each week, there won’t be a new album. However Ulf, who will be dad of a son for the second time in august, is more optimistic, he hopes for a new album next year. Moreover Jonas bought an old house in Lysekil to satisfy his passion to restore old buildings. Later the house shall be a café or restaurant. article to new album article to the new house
30.06.2006	Ulf is reporting news A fan from Croatia used the chance to meet Ulf in Dubrovnik. Ulf told some facts to the new album and Linn. Ulf said, that there will be a new album, but not within one year. Right nw they have more than 200 demosongs. Bute only some songs were recorded! 21.06.2006	Ulf as a DJ in Croatia At 24th July Ulf will be a DJ on the Eastwest Beach Club in Dubrivnik! Right now he is making his holidays together with Johanna and is son Viggo. He is visiting is friend and the godfather of Viggo there. 24.05.2006	Ulf celebrated with Marilyn Manson At the filmfestival in Cannes Ulf was celebrating at a party with the musician Marilyn Manson. 03.04.2006	Ulf will be a daddy again The fansite Aceisland reported, that swedish newspapers have the fact, that Ulf will be a dadday again. Johanna and Ulf are expecting their second child in august. Ulf said, that he wants to get a boy again, but Johanna is preferring a girl ... The picture, which Ulf painted for a good thing was sold for 2.125 swedish crownes! Futhermore Ulf was a guest on various parties in the last week, for example a party of Saab. 12.02.2006	Ulf is drawing a picture Ulf Ekberg is one of 20 swedish celebrities, which drew a picture for a charity. The pictures were sold as postcards until the Valentines Day on 14th February 2006. After that the original pictures will be sold on an auction. The money will get a heart and lung foundation. 02.12.2005	CD of "Night Of The Proms" From the "Night Of The Proms 2005" in Antwerp the organizer will release a live-CD with 16 tracks on 5th December. Ace of Base are on this special album with "All That She Wants" and "The Sign". 30.11.2005	Eurovision Song Contest Ace of Base won´t be take part of the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest, called "Melodifestivalen" in Sweden. 14.11.2005	Ace of Base say Thanks Ace of Base announced following words on the official website about their experiences with the fans and the appearances at Nights Of The Proms: Dear Acers, friends and music lovers, all of you that been travelling back and forward to Antwerp the last month just for us, we are so delighted to have meet you all during and after the concerts. It was a big challenge for all of us, to do this and now looking back on the result we feel both honoured and happy that we took the decision to go to Belgium and perform. It’s been extremely fun. 22.10.2005	Eurovision Song Contest The swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reported, that Ace of Base could appear on the Eurovision Song Contest. Ulf Ekberg confirmed Aftonbladet, that the band are discussing an appearnce for years, but nothing is decided yet. -the swedish press sees a big chance for Sweden with Ace of Base! 17.10.2005	Night of the Proms The first two performances of Ace of Base in Antwerp are over. The band performed the songs "The Sign", "All that she wants", "Beautiful Life", "Life is a flower" and one song together with Donna Summer. Furthermore some fans had the chance to meet the aces. 29.07.2005	new album in 2006 Ulf gave some days ago an interview to the swedish newspaper Expressen with information about the new album! He reported, that they worked in studios in Gothenburg and Stockholm on material for the new album the whole year. All bandmembers are involved in working on the new album! Furthermore he reported, that he and Jonas made a lot of songs and some of them are really good songs! But he said too, that they have to see in which direction the new album-project will go and when it will be released! The release will not be before next year, because Jenny has to take time off to be mom at first! But the band are not afraid of releasing a flop, because they are doing good until now and they are earning money with their hobbies and this will work in the future too! www.expressen.se

18.05.2005	Arose-Appearance The band Arose had a performance at the swedish-tv-channel TV4 on 09th May 2005 with the songs "Highlife" and "Circus". Furthermore they gave an interview after the performance. The videofiles, pix and more information you will find on www.aceofbase.nl new CD-Box The dutch website has reported, that Universal will release a new 3-CD-Box on 27th May 2005. 08.05.2005	Jenny is pregnant On the official website of Ace of Base Jenny had written some sentences to the fans: "Since last summer I have married Jakob and we are now expecting our first child end of July. 29.04.2005	News to Ulf Ulf told the swedish newspaper Aftonbladet some interesting details to his plans about houses: "I am on holidays in South Africa and Brasilia very often. In past I had a house in Kapstadt and now I am planning to buy a house in South Africa and Brasilia. The climate, the friendly people and the closing to the nature makes Kapstadt to a fantastic paradise!" Right now Ulf is living in London. The funkorientated album is mainly influenced by Rock and Blues. 03.02.2005	Jenny in "Arose" Jenny will perform together with Magnus Rosen, Imre Daun, Emrik Larsson and Glen Sandgren under the new bandname Arose on the filmfestival in Gothenburg today. Jenny will sing as a backgroundsinger in the choir. If Jenny will be a certain part of this band is not known. Aftonbladet annonced, that an album is recorded and should be released in Germany and Asia. In another article Aftonbladet reported about the new album of Ace of Base and that Linn will have her comeback. furthermore the new album should have a style like the first album of Ace of Base. If these information are true or only just a rumour - that we will see in the future, but one is for sure: Linn will be more in the front as in the last 2 albums. 02.01.2005	Ulf in Thailand During the flood catastrophe in South-East-Asia is mentioned all over the world! And Ulf Ekberg was in Thailand on vacation at this time! Expressen announced, that Ulf and some other celebrities were on a Benefit New Year Gala in Pukhet to help the victims. They had to give 2500 SEK to be on this gala and all the money goes to the victims. Ulf said in an interview, that he wants to stay there as long as he can help! 01.12.2004	short news - Ace of Base + Jenny Sara tried to contact the scandinavian label Playgroundmusic to get new and more information about Ace of Base and their forthcoming album! The label confirmed, that the release is planned for the spring/summer next year and formed by the management and the band. Furthermore the label expect the first demo-tape in the early next year! 08.09.2004	Ace of Base is planning a new album Fantastic news for the fans of Ace of Base! A new album is planned with a release in the summer of 2005. Till now there are 8 songs as a base for the new album! Read the official notes of Lasse Karlsson: The summer really never came to Sweden this year so I sure hope that it’ll be a fantastic summer next. Yesterday I went down to Gothenburg together with Tommy Ekman (who produced Don’t turn around, Life is a flower and more) for Ace of Base. And we had an all night sit-down with Jonas “Joker” Berggren, discussing production styles and listing to 18 new songs by the Joker. It was fun! It was really nice to listen to the music; it felt like the old days. In the end we could unite on eight songs that most likely will be the foundation of the next album and if all planning’s are going the way we now want them to go. We will start the recording of the new studio album in the end of September. As soon as there is new information to give you all around the soon to be recording, I will keep you posted. 14.08.2004	Ace of Base on TV The german tv-channel SAT.1 will continue his successful show "Die Hitgiganten" - the theme of the show on 9th Sepember will be the Nineties! There will be appearances from the old 90-stars like Dr. Alban, Scooter or U96 and video-clips with comments of prominents - Ace of Base is one of the video-acts with the song "All That She Wants". 25.05.2004	offizielles Statement Lasse Karlsson published an official statement to the current situation of Ace of Base: "Time for the management to come clear about some roomers! Dear everyone, time’s running and we have not been giving you any updates or feedback for some time now. I’m sorry for this and will try to update you on some things that I have understood been up in the air for discussion some time now! First of all, the band Ace of Base, do exist and are live and well. The band consists as always of the siblings Jenny, Jonas, Linn Berggren and Ulf Ekberg! They have not been breaking up nor have any of the members left the band for other stuff. So so when that now is said… Jenny is currently doing charity work around Sweden, singing concerts for the church, Jonas is as always writing songs, raising his two kids and Linn is living a life outside the spotlight and enjoying that. Ulf moved from Spain to England some years ago and is now actively working in a company that are developing business strategies between entertainment and trademarks, on the side of his writing and producing. Happy news is that Ulf will become a father in late September. So I presume that between the businesses he will become the master of diapers. = ) “congratulations to Ulf and his girlfriend Joanna” We been discussion a new album, but we have not moved further in to recordings. There is a material written, and hopefully there will be a structure of recording soon that I could present to you. One thing that could stress these recording is that you Acers, request the band as much as possible to Universal Music in Germany!!! And then something surprising…. Since some time there’s been some roomers about performances with Ace of Base! I can tell you that, yes infect we been talking to various promoters in Russia and the Baltic stats for some exclusive performances. Still we have not finalized any date yet so it’s still pending! 26.02.2004	Emilia with "All That She Wants" The swedish singer Emilia ("Big Big World") will perform "All That She Wants" on the comeback-show on the german TV-channel ProSieben! The show will give the opportunity for "old" starts from the music-business to start a new successful career! Beside Emilia there are stars like Coolio or Haddaway ... The show will start 8.15 pm german time at 27th February 2004! The current show has the theme "Disco and Dance"!
01.02.2004	notes from Jenny To the german acermeeting in Brand-Erbsidorf Jenny sent some nots over the management for the acers of the acermeeting and of course for all acers around the world: "Hello. I´m sending greetings from our cold Swedish country. Today it´s below zero and the white snow keeps out eyes from popping out of our heads in search for the poor light shining upon us. Snow reflects the light wonderfully; else it is very dark outside. To get warm in this chilly part of the winter we have a great tradition of gathering in cafés and coffeehouses, a type of cosiness that carries the light within us when we don’t have it outside. I and Linn are experts on drinking coffee at this moment. Jonas is away on holidays and Ulf are also away, working on one of his projects. 11.12.2003	Jenny with solo-album The manager of Ace of Base, Lasse Karlsson, gave some news to the fans: "... the planes around Ace of Base are currently nothing more then the fact that we are due to release Hey Darling to radio in Scandinavia. When the dates for this is, I could not tell. As I have not got it firm from EDEL/Playground that is the main company behind the release plan. [...] Jenny will focus for her solo album due this upcoming spring. But the band will most likely meet up and discuss more activities in the end of next year."
10.12.2003	Jonas at LaCarr Jonas Berggren joined to the team of LaCarr as a songwriter and producer. LaCarr was founded from Lasse Karlsson, the manager of Ace of Base, and Douglas Carr, producer of Ace of Base. LaCarr got enough attention with the success of Ace of Base! The song was released as an album-track of "Cruel Summer" in Japan and as a b-side of the single "Cruel Summer" in Scandinavia. This information was given through the LaCarr-studios, which were founded by Lasse Karlsson, the manager of Ace of Base and Douglas Carr, a famous producer, who has worked on many songs of Ace of Base ... 11.10.2003	Hannah K The project of Jonas, Hannah K was stopped - here the official statement: "Sadly enough we have to announce that we were forced to end the Hannah K project entirely due to external chaotic circumstances in the music bussiness. Unfortunally it was not in our own power to turn this decision into another and better direction. 01.10.2003	Funkstar De Luxe-Remix The french website of Ace of Base got the possible to listen to the new remix of "All That She Wants", done by Funkstar De Luxe, called "Funkstar's Lying On The Beach And Having Fun De Luxe Mix", and put it online for a first listening to you. 26.09.2003	More Remixes Voodoo & Serano and more DJs are working or worked on new remixes for Ace of Base! For the first all was focused to the song "All That She Wants" - the danish DJ-star Funkstar De Luxe did a new remix of "All That She Wants" too. Furthermore Voodoo and Serano did after the club-mix new mixes from the song too.
